End of May saw CSAC head over to Aberdaton for a weeks long diving organised by Chris Holden. When the conditions are right Aberdaron has some of the most underated and outstanding diving in the UK. Bullhusse, Octopus, BIG Lobsters & Crayfish are some of the highlights…
Unfortunately this time the conditions weren’t fantastic. The first weekend saw us confined to the bay due to the bad weather and the temperamental engine on the Delta RIB. Still, and hours scenic diving on the Glen Ocum (SP!) with some huge Wrasse and the resident conger “Dinky” made up for the bad weather.
Recovery of the boats was lots of fun! Aberdaron beach is notoriously difficult to recover boats from. Even tractors get bogged down and need to be rescued. When this happens there’s only one thing that responsible divers can do in this situation.
Which is of course; get the beers in!
